Section 1
The Wing Awards Program recognizes Wing members for their contributions to the well-being and advancement of Wing aims and endeavours, and in support of the RCAFA in general.
The Wing Awards Program is divided into two separate and distinct areas:
a. Nominations of candidates for national awards as per AFAC Booklet 104 “National Honours and Awards”
b. Wing BOD Awards, presented to Wing members for their special services to the Wing.
The Wing Chair will appoint an awards Chairperson who is responsible for vetting and processing all award nominations through the WEC to the Chair for approval.
Awards deliberations are not to be discussed outside of the WEC and members are not informed of awards until formally announced.
Section 2 Selection of candidates
The Wing selection process system must ensure that all eligible members receive fair and unbiased consideration for their participation in Wing and/or Association activities.

The award process is under the direct supervision of the Awards Chair in concert with the WEC who are accountable to the Wing membership.
WEC approval of all nominations is mandatory and should be unanimous in nature. Final authority is vested in the Wing Chair.
Section 3 Scheduling
National Nominations: May be submitted to the Wing Awards Chair at any time. In turn, they must be presented to the WEC no later than 1 December and forwarded to National no later than 31 December.
Wing Awards
a. The Chair’s commendations and certificates of appreciation may be made at any time.
b. The Wing Plaque Awards are presented at the Spring AGM
c. Period of consideration – indefinite. Up to three awards can be presented annually.
d. A member can be recognized more than once but will receive only one plaque.
Section 4 Accountability
All award applications must be processed through the Wing Executive.
Wing Chair (or designate) will arrange and present all local Wing Awards.
All costs that are associated with the Wing Awards Program shall be within the approved budget for the fiscal year.
