Subject: Flag Protocol for Deceased Wing Members

Approved: Executive Meeting April 20, 2009

Upon notification that a Wing Member has passed away, the Manager or Bartender will lower the RCAF Association flag to half-mast. The ensign shall continue to be flown at half-mast in recognition of a fallen member for a total of three days only. Thereafter, the ensign will return to full mast until the day of the member’s memorial service. On this day, it shall once again be flown at half-mast until the completion of the service when it will be returned to full mast.
