Subject: Honorary Chair

Approved: Executive Meeting February 24, 2003

Appointment:

The Honorary Chair shall be an appointment (non-voting) to the Wing Executive Council. The selection of the Honorary Chair shall be made by the WEC.

Function:

The role of the Honorary Chair shall be:

• To attend Executive and General meetings, acting in an advisory capacity,

• To provide advice and guidance to the Wing Executive in order to maintain the aims and Objectives of the RCAF Association,

• To provide historical data for the Wing Executive in order to determine the correct course of action for the Wing,

• If agreeable, to perform such PR and photo opportunities as requested by the Wing President.

Selection:

The selection for the position of Honorary President should be made from:

• The Charter members Cadre, or,

• A long-standing member who has demonstrated a strong interest and concern for the Wing and the Association, or,

• A Wing Past President, or, 

• All of the above.

Tenure:

The appointment of the Honorary President will be for an indefinite period of time with the concurrence of the incumbent and the Wing Executive Committee.
