Subject: 888 Wing Bulletin (“Contrails”)

General

“CONTRAILS” is the quarterly bulletin of 888 (Komox) RCAF Wing, Air Force Association of Canada. The bulletin is published on the 1st of March, June, September and December.

Purpose

To encourage all members to provide informative information on their activities of the Wing to other members and the Association as a whole.

Criteria

“Contrails” is a member publication which is put together by an editor who is an elected member of the Executive Committee.

All editorials published in the “Contrails” must comply with the Wing Constitution which states, “the Wing shall be democratic, non-sectarian and shall not be affiliated or connected directly with any political party or organization”.

The editor’s or other members’ own personal opinions of a political nature shall not be published in “Contrails”.

Articles may be mailed to PO Box 430, Lazo, BC, V0R 2K0, Canada or you may place articles in the “Contrails” slot in the Wing office. Articles may also be e-mailed directly to the editor whose mailing Address is published din the information column of “Contrails”.

National Wing Bulletin Awards Program

These awards recognize the best wing bulletin in each category based on the criteria in NHA National Honours & Awards 11th edition, dated 01 July 2001, Booklet 104, Section 14 (a copy is held in the Wing  Office ).

Eligibility is established by a Wing when it arranges for a copy of its Bulletin to be sent to NHQ in Ottawa. Selection of an award will be made by the National Honours & Awards Committee.

Mailing of “Contrails” to Our Out of Town Members

On request, the wing shall mail a copy of “Contrails” to out-of-town members who are in good standing of the Wing.
