386 Sqn Activity - 888 Liaison Jim King
The squadron has a full schedule of activities. Zone First Aid competition was held on the 28th Feb. with both junior and senior teams winning first place, a Tri-Cadet Senior Mess Dinner is planned for 5th Mar. A food drive, conducted on the 3rd Mar. Was very successful, working in conjunction with Comox Guides providing 3600 pounds of non-perishable foods to the Comox Valley Food Bank.
The Sqn has two very intensive citizenship trips planed for the “Spring break” one to Edmonton and one to Victoria. The Cadets will be housed at the Edmonton Garrison and CFB Esquimalt.
The Edmonton group will visit the Alberta Aviation Museum, Reynolds Alberta museum, Talus World of Science, inter act with 810 Sqn, and visit the West Edmonton mall.
The Victoria group will conduct a Scavenger hunt at Thetis Lake Regional Park, Have guided tour of the BC Legislative Building, conducted by our own MLA Don McRae, visit the Royal British Columbia Museum, BC Aviation Museum, and Butchart Gardens. Both these trips have been well organized and funded by the Cadets through personal input and fund raising.
The Sqn will be part of a Tri-service Cadet booth at this years Air Show and will provide Cadets to help out with 888 Wing as required.

The Air Cadets thank 888 Wing for their continued generous donation of funds. Also that of “The Dick Woodman Memorial” and the Caledonia Fire Projection donation. These funds help with the training and operating costs.
