On Friday, October 10th, we were happy to host twenty members of 800 Wing Victoria at our Pub Grub and Talent Show. President Gerry Bullen introduced 800 Wing President Pat Patterson who thanked us
for our hospitality and indicated they would like to return the favour some time in the future. . We are sure that they have warm memories of their evening
at 888!

It was evening of wonderful entertainment by some of our own talented members. Don Hogan was the alert emcee
- he had a couple of gaps to fill!!! Randy Standish was the sound man as well as being one of the entertainers. Other
entertainers included Peter Edwards and Rhoda Metcalfe, MaryAnn Tait, Larry Bourgeouis on the fiddle; Marlene Dopkins brought
us Barbara Streisand, Dolly Parton and Liza Minelli. She and Don Hilchey teamed up for a Dolly Parton/Kenny Rogers duet.
Don Thomas treated us to a guitar medley of old golden oldies;. President
Gerry wowed us with As Time Goes By, Memories (Cats), If I Were a Rich Man and What a Wonderful World!!! The Forbidden
Plateau Barbershop Harmony Quartet gave us some nostalgia from yesteryear while Les Routledge and Colin Day gave us their
own rendition of "The Two Ronnies". All in all, outstanding entertainment!!!
