The Wing
was hopping both inside and out and we were delighted to once again host some residents of "The View".

Al Hampshire,
as per tradition, had sculpted yet another useful tool for our in-coming President, Gerry Bullen. We didn't hear a particular name given to this contraption, but we do know it consisted of a gavel and
some kind of mechanism that allowed a marble to drop in the event that Gerry should lose one of his own during a meeting!!! Al…what will you devise next!!!

Dick Woodman and his lovely
wife Shirly, were our official "cake cutters" this year and once we explained to Shirly that the knife was for cutting the
cake she settled down and did a great job

As our retiring Honourary
President, Bud Wild decided that he really did deserve a gold watch which he did, in fact, present to Dick. The actual amount of gold in the watch remains a mystery but what a wonderful gesture!

Dawna Dozzi,
accompanied by Jack Bradley on piano, led us all in the singing of "Oh, Canada"! So
many of us get a little choked with pride as we sing about this wonderful country!!!

President
Gerry Bullen assumed his office today and his first official function was to present Dick Woodman with a farewell gift since
Dick is stepping down from his post as Honourary President. And, of course, to
ensure a hug and a smooch from Shirly, he presented her with a bouquet of flowers. Very
smooth!
